Capsule Endoscopy

A capsule endoscopy is a special test that doctors use to check for bleeding and tumors in your small intestine. They give you a small capsule to swallow, which contains a tiny camera and a light.

As the capsule travels through your digestive system, it takes pictures of your small intestine. These pictures are recorded and later reviewed by your doctor. Eventually, you pass the capsule out of your body when you go to the bathroom.

This test is really good for finding problems in your small intestine. It’s simple – you just swallow the capsule, and it does the rest!
